Stone Island has partnered with New Balance's iconic 1988 shoe, the 574, for a second time. Before, we saw them collaborate on a set of deconstructed colorways for the RC Elite V2. This new release includes a collection of camouflaged football boots and a technical makeover for the 574, complete with the signature compass badge on the tongue, a yellow brushed Velcro underneath, and a brown leather-lined edge. The shoe features dual-tone laces threaded through the central leather eyestay, adding a functional boot dynamic, while the nappy olive suede and square grid pattern on the nylon toe box and heel collar maintain Stone Island's attention to detail. Even the New Balance branding has a metallic finish, giving this archival classic a modern update. The wool lining adds another touch of luxury to this premium release.
